Retro Review – Godzilla Domination – Game Boy Advance

When I first discovered Godzilla Domination, I was apprehensive about it.  I was a dyed in the wool fan of King of Monsters fan from way back when it first hit arcades (and later certain home consoles).  One thing that constantly came to mind while play KoM oh so many years ago was how cool would it be to have this game model with the Godzilla license?  There was a ton of movies that featured

Super Metroid available on the Wii U eShop May 15th for $0.30

The SNES classic, Super Metroid, will be available on the Nintendo Wii U eShop tomorrow, May 15th, for the bargain price of 30 cents.  When Nintendo announced the Famicom 30th Anniversary line up of games for the Wii U Virtual Console, many gamers (including me) immediately targeted Super Metroid for download.  Personally, I consider it the best game ever made.  What about you?  Have you played this SNES gem?  Will you give it a go on the Wii U?  Make sure you get it before the price goes up in June!

King of Fighters ’99 hits the Wii eShop May 16th

Originally released in 1999, this is the 6th installment in the King of Fighters series. This time, there is a new protagonist with an all-new story. Instead of the previous 3-member team format, now teams have 4 members, where 3 members actually fight and 1 member is designated as a “Striker”. As in previous versions, you can unleash Super Special Moves when the gauges fill up. However, a new feature has been introduced whereby using 3 power stocks allows you to execute either Counter Mode, which increases offensive strength, or Armor Mode, which increases defensive strength. Tactics that apply to each situation have also been powered up. King of Fighters 99 boasts 32 playable characters. Do you think you have what it takes to reach the top?

Conker’s Bad Fur Day Beta Released Online (Unofficially)

Conker’s Bad Fur Day was one of those titles that probably came out unexpectedly for a lot of fans even though it was released years after Nintendo had dropped most of their “family friendly” image in an effort to be competitive in the aging market.  A 3D collectathon with a heaping helping of bathroom humor was what a lot of fans got when they picked up this game.
